Our team's background includes years of hands-on experience in childcare operations — running the day-to-day of an early learning environment. That's where we learned firsthand what works, and what doesn't, in childcare facility design.
That experience opened our eyes to a gap in the market: most construction companies don't understand childcare, and most childcare consultants can't build. Providers were forced to coordinate between architects who didn't know DCYF requirements, contractors who'd never heard of supervision sightlines, and consultants who couldn't speak construction.
We created Childcare Builder to be the partner we wished we'd had — one team that speaks both languages fluently.
Today, we bring that operational perspective to every project. We know why the infant room sink needs to be within arm's reach of the changing table.
